I may offer a bit of perspective to this thread, so here goes ... Those hand held assay gizmos are touted to be extremely accurate and suitable for detecting many metals. Noront owns one, right? Using this device on every core sample would preclude the unnecessary cost of sending cores out for assay analysis when the holes are known to be dusters at the drill site.

If Noront has said 'we are sending the cores from hole XX-YYY out for assay analysis' then we should expect some news. If they have drilled and moved on without communicating this message, then I think we can assume that the holes were barren.
