One simple validation that the peak oil is real.... The US went through peak oil back in the late 70's.... if there was plenty of oil and it is self renewing.. Then why has the US production been declining acording to Hubbars theory for the past 30 years. Fact is even if it is renewable it will be measured in tens of thousands of years and not decades.

here's some info worth reading that supports the peak oil theory... i believe we saw a taste of peak global oil production last summer and the ramifications of this are still being played out.
