Regarding "dead-ended" next message buttons, are you in List View or in Threaded view? If you are in threaded view, the next message button will black out when you reach the most recent post in that thread; in list view the button only blacks out when you have reached the most recent post in the forum.

To ask a question on this or any other board, please make sure the circle button next to Question is selected.

With any big update their are bound to be a few issues. Should you come across any kindly send them to our technical team through the General Contact page. Make sure that the "Bug or Error Report" tab is selected from the drop down menu.
