One scary post. My parents were kids during the depression, and though they didn't remember it quite as poignantly, they did have stories to tell of hardship; they did a lot of bartering to get by. They grew up to have a good life. There is a movie, "Seabiscuit", I have watched many times. A down on his luck horse, a down on his luck trainer, and a down on his luck jockey during the depression, who managed a miracle, and gave hope to millions of people. The owner is weathy, a promoter, par excellence, who pulls it all together. We can see comparisons to NOT. We have a winner, in bad times, that will come through for all of us as far as I am concerned. I bought a little today. Hard to get down from several thousand at 5.25 and 4.22, and hard to look at the huge red deficit, but c'est la vie.
