The timing of today's N.R.

I'm imagining that the after hours report was strategic in terms of jump starting the sp if the N.R. is to have any affect on the market tomorrow. If it gaps up from after hours trades it might well give it a push tomorrow. I'm still expecting the market to fizzle on this news other than a few pennies hike but I'll be happy to be wrong. Of course there could be other news?
