It’s true that NOT is going for a bargain. On the other hand there are those in the ROF who are wondering where they are going to get the cash to survive for the next couple of months. These cash strapped juniors are motivated to give up land, sell the farm for a joint venture or even merge companies just to stay alive. Look for NOT to increase its land holding in the near future as they have the cash to do so.
Perhaps this is what Richard was alluding to when he said that NOT would eventually control most of the ROF. He also told us not to look at the stock price because I beleive cash on hand was what was needed for this period. This looks like a strategy being played to gain more land in the ROF. Once they have it a carefully position drill will get the ball rolling again. Starve them out...buy them up...build an empire.
Perhaps this is why the 15 million spent on Windfall was such a contentious issue. That kind of money will buy you a lot of ROF land these days. The game is survival of the fittest and NOT has an evolutionary advantage over many of the ROF players.
