Welcome to the Noront investors newly using this site

I think with all the uncertainty floating in the air as of late it is important that we welcome all new posters to this discussion forum. Noront is a great company to know and be involved with. Due Diligence as we all know comes with good investment. This site is full of great information, but please be wary of some who are soft bashing the stock. They will no doubt disappear as they are uncovered.

That said, I want to welcome all of the new posters, and quite a few there are, to the Noront forum. If you have questions regarding the site or the stock please feel free to ask questions of the many who have frequented this site over the last year. Don't forget also the many posters here that have held this stock for many, many years, back to where it was a penny stock.

The basic story of this stock is interesting. You may find it similar to the Diamond Fields discover of Voisey Bay. Nickel was hit on by accident while prospecting for other precious metals. The store was uncovered in August of 2007 and the Eagle One story then became history. Eagle Two then hit the news last winter and the Blackbird 1 and 2 sites (Chromite) came afterwards this summer. The Noront property, as well as other Ring of Fire (ROF) mining companies have discovered different quanities of the same minerals in each of their areas within the ROF. The big news of last summer is not likely to the be big news of this company. There is so much to look forward to during the drilling campaign that is presently under way.

This company has had a 43-101 report done which you can review in the news portion of the site. The report is very favourable (not as favourable as some had wanted). The bottom line is we have to prove up our resources more and then we should be able to mine the property. All of this will come in time, but patience will be a virture, along with a rock solid stomach if you want to stick with Noront. The long term reward should be wonderful providing the company does not get sold out from under us. That is another story that can easily be reviewed over the last couple of weeks posts.

So....welcome to all new posters who want to learn and be part of the Noront investment community. We stick together like glue when tough times come. That has been proven to the surprise of most investment gurus. It proves the retail investor can rock the boat enough to keep the managment team honest. That is the future we hope to maintain here. Richard Nemis, the previous CEO of the company did a great job of bringing us to where we are now. The markets have played with the stock price a lot, but most here are confident we will withstand the pressure and move on to the next stage in due time. The market downturn has hurt everyone, but that doesn't make what we have any less of good thing.

I hope you all get a lot of information and opinion provided here that assists you in making your own decisions as to how best to enter into becoming a shareholder of Noront. I hope also that those who have just discovered this site while being long term shareholders will feel more comfortable in the comradery that has become this board. We all have our bad days, but on the whole this forum stands together to fight for the retail investors rights and those my friends would be yours.

Have a great weekend and God Bless.
