From the NR when Carmen joined Noront...
Carmen Diges, LL.M, CFA, has been Corporate Secretary of Noront since 2003. A partner at McMillan LLP, she has also been lead counsel to the company during that time. She now assumes the responsibilities of Vice President, Legal and Business Affairs for Noront. Ms. Diges brings more than fifteen years of legal experience in the mining sector, encompassing strong international, capital markets, project development, corporate finance and mergers and acquisitions skills. She has worked on transactions throughout six continents and her clients have included governments, Canadian and international issuers, investors and underwriters.

With the appointment of Mr. Feeney, the board of directors has accepted the resignation of Mr. Robert Suttie from the position of Chief Financial Officer. The board of directors wishes to thank Mr. Suttie for his contributions to the company and looks forward to his continued involvement with Noront in a non-executive capacity.
In connection with the restructuring of the roles of existing management, previously announced by Noront in its press release dated June 6, 2008 and with the above appointments, Noront has granted an aggregate of 2,005,000 options to purchase common shares of Noront to its directors and officers for a period of five years at an exercise price of $3.90 per share.
