I think everyone here is still astounded by the events of this last week, and we all have "emotional" hangovers.

Sure, some of us feel like dupes because we got a wake-up call that Rosseau's gang was alongside us the whole time, and we're steaming mad about that. I say, keep your opinions to yourself in that regard. I'm not saying if you have suspicions to throw them out the window: you're all entitled to your opinions, just keep 'em to yourself, is all. You can and should still debate and disagree points you feel strongly about, but the danger is past for the moment from Rosseau, so for the sake of civility let's all just let sleeping dogs lie.

I am STILL blown away that we WON!!!! Every single one of you who picked up the phone and called strangers despite your misgivings...everyone who participated in their own way to get the story out.. ( like the Google ad...wow, what a big contribution, wish I could help you out with the bill, pal, but it's not in the cards right now for me.)

Every one of you who fought the good fight, despite your heavy heart and the thought that it all might be futile...YOU ARE PART OF HISTORY NOW! You will never get a medal, or a plaque with your name etched on it, and no one will remember your name next week, but that doesn't mean that what you've done doesn't have a lasting legacy. Even the newspapers and the press is dodging the story altogether, or misrepresenting the facts ( hmm, feeling much pressure there from outside sources????)

Why? Because the shock waves are STILL rippling through the financial and stock community!!!! We have changed the status quo, in one little way, and as much as we have trepidation about our new BoD, ever consider they might be in uncharted territory now as well?

The hedge fund egos have been badly bruised, they were out golfing and celebrating their "victory" while we were slogging it out on the phones. And the police at the AGM are a testament to their complete misunderstanding of the situation. The pen ( or the keyboard, in this case) is mightier than the sword, and they didn't grasp that.

They took us for a bunch of snivelling, whining yet stubborn perma-bulls ( thanks to their time scoping this board) and when the moment arrived, they underestimated us.

Let's give them a chance to adjust to their "new" reality and while remaining ( silently?) vigilant, make sure that this hub has something to offer all the newcomers headed our way.

Let's not forget that Agoracom, combined with our efforts, is going to become a very busy place because of what we've accomplished.

Anyways, hope I'm not too preachy, and I understand where all of you are coming from, but we can save some of these arguments for another day.
