I think we should leave ARU out of this debate.
I was an owner of ARU shares, made good money, but when I tried to discuss the political risks on the 'other' board, I was labeled a basher and asked to leave. So I kept my own council, sold my shares and moved on.
Patrick Anderson saw the same obvious problems, and when he expressed them and made a deal with Kinross, he was called many names just like I was - by the very people who had profited so much from owning the stock of a company he brought high values.

By the way. Ecuador still has no mining law and talk is of 8% royalty fees and a 70% windfall profits tax. But even this is all talk, it could be much worse for Kinross, when you're dealing with a dictator the deck is stacked anyway he wants it to be.
