you don't drop 90% in share value over the past year and not expect that investors are totally p'd off. Rosseau have most likely been putting sell pressure on NOT and acquiring shares for quite a while but 9.2% aint gong to give them the board unless, and I don't say this lightly, some other major players are p'd off enough to vote with them. Lets be honest we're all here to make money, those of us who are long, and I was in before Misfit and others, have seen our share value erode before our eyes yet we hung in knowing that at some point in McFaulds we were going to see a play for the company by a major, didn't happen, the euphoria of a year ago has gone and been replaced by skepticism and disgruntled shareholders. Is it any wonder that the large funds want changes. I've been shouting for months that we needed action from IBK and others to promote the company, yet nothing happened, seemed like it was a lone voice crying in the wilderness.
Having said all of that, I'm not about to sign over my familys holdings to a piranha predator like Rosseau. God knows I want Richard and his team to succeed and take us to the promised land, but there definitely needs to be action from the Board to stem the flow and asssit in moving us up. Sitting on your hands in times of crisis is not the answer. On other posts I've suggested that we, i.e the small shareholders, put our collective ideas together and present them to management. who knows how many shares or % of the company we collectively own.,however that takes time.
What we need to do immediately is ensure that our proxy votes are given to Richard and his team time to ensure they defeat this takeover attempt. If you agree with me that Richard is the one to lead us forward then take action now and give him your support, e-mail him and let him know your behind him it'll all help to boost the moral of the team.
