Yesterday, the Customs and Excise Department released statistics showed that China's imports in the first half of chrome ore concentrate and 3,481,000 tons, the value of 1,240,000,000 U.S. dollars, respectively, year-on-year growth of 22.9 percent and 1 percent; the average import price of 356.4 U.S. dollars / ton, up 63%. In June this year, the average price of chrome ore imports for the first time break through 400 U.S. dollars / ton, reaching 424.8 U.S. dollars / ton, up 62.8 percent year-on-year in the short term average monthly imports have been repeatedly set.

The report notes that China's ferrochrome production of chrome ore to rely on imports for more than 80%, due to the high cost of imported raw materials, China mainly depends on imports of chrome ore, nickel and ferrochrome production of nickel iron raw material cost increases pressure on enterprises has been increasing.
