I think you have already stated that a while ago and my answer at that time was : bull**** !

You can transport chromite ore by truck, no railway needed neccessarily.

Have a look at Outokumpu, they were considering trucking the chromite from the Kemi mine to their smelter instead of railway transport because of environmental and cost reasons.

No worries, a decent road to McFauld´s will do !
