Message: Majors involvement

Supposing a major comes along Monday and offers $12 a share for all or a certain percentage of the outstanding shares. Every shareholder has a decision to make. Do I, or don't I offer my shares. For sure quite a few would jump and take their profit. At this point we do not know how many shares the suitor has accumulated already. We do know it would be less than 10%. Once any shareholder has accumulated 10% they must declare it. That still does not tell us what would happen. None of us have any idea how many shares would get tendered. If the major shareholders come out against the plan, you have a hostile take-over attempt. How many of us would side with and support management would be interesting. If management agreed to offer their shares ( I hope not ) the suitor would then have a chance to take out a lot of shares. Once the suitor had 92% of the shares, ( I think that is the figure but check it out ) they then can apply to force the rest to sell. If $12 didn't do the trick, the suitor can up the ante or withdraw the offer, depending on how things are worded. Now you see how many ways this can go. It's a real chess game. I know the majors are keeping an eye on Noront but I don't see a suitor for a while yet. When one or more does show up, it might get very interesting.
