LONDON, Sept 18 (Reuters) - The world's largest gold-backed exchange traded fund, New York's SPDR Gold Trust , said its bullion holdings rose 36.46 tonnes or 6 percent on Sept 17.

The trust, which issues securities backed by physical stocks of gold, now holds 650.81 tonnes of bullion, against 614.35 tonnes a day before.
