In addition to Hoov's points, the chrome is nearly 300 m in the ground. On top of blackbird two is eagle two which has Ni/Cu. Talk about overburden having value!! Discovering more Ni/Cu will justify mining and processing these Ni reserves. It appears the Eagle and Blackbird operations might compliment one another rather than one eat the other as happens in real life. From the articles submitted by posters this morning, Ni and chrome produce the same favorable metalurgical properties in stainleess steel with chrome being the cheaper alternative. Looks like we have all the bases covered, one stop shopping so to speak. I realize this is a simplistic outlook for any of you pros out there but it is a reassuring scenario in this less than reassuring economic climate.
