Can you say gouging? A couple of years ago, the price of oil hit $50 a barrel and the price of gas screamed up to $1.00 per litre, with the companies blaming the price of crude. Of the last year, we have seen price of oil hit almost $150 a barrel, yet the price of gas only went to $1.50 a litre. Something doesn't quite add up.

The gas companies will use any excuse to crank the price of gas up for the consumer, but they are not willing to lower it very fast after the "crisis" has passed. Here we are at $100/barrel again, and the price of gas has only fallen $0.25/litre...
