Cycles

I think everyone knows that commodities trade in long term cycles. The depth and height of the cycles are impacted by the political and economical environment that exists, compounded at times by human error and greed on both fronts. This is what we are experiencing now, financial institutions have made a game of conniving to get multiple values of a buck which has crippled the housing industry to the point that mortgages are in default to levels not seen in 40 years. This is giving depth and no doubt length to the down cycle we are now experiencing. The good thing about cyclic action is that there will be a reversal because the world cannot allow a freefall. A bottom has to be reached and than an incline and if history repeats itself as it has always done, there will be new highs.

This brings me to NOT. Many posters have reminded us of what assets this company has in Windfall, Eagles and Blackbirds as well as the management capabilities. Our management team are not caught up in the present share price. I am sure that they sympathize with us retail shareholders, but I would suggest that they are more visionary than to be worried about what they can't control in the short term. They have cash so a PP is probably not on their minds right now.The Windfall property is being developed. The intent is a bulk sample but you can rest assured they will not stop chasing the veins when they hit unless there is a hangup on the mining permits.

Their vision is on Ni/cu and chrome. Firstly finding more Ni/Cu and probably more importantly understanding their chrome deposit. GeoProf correctly cautions that much needs to be discovered about the deposit in addition to the deposit itself. Separating the ore from the host material can be very difficult, sulfides apparantly cause problems. However, some of the redeeming features of this chrome deposit are remarkable. It is 20m to 30m thick, BB2 has 40 to 45% CR2O3, the Cr/Fe ratio in BB2 is 2.0 with a 5m section at 2.6. This is amazing when you consider Bushveld is 0.6m to 1.3m thick with a Cr/Fe ratio of 1.9. Bushveld has an advantage of depth and developed infrastructure but a deposit like ours cannot be allowed to stay in the ground. It will take four to six years to develope this mine, depending on the resistance or assistance of the majors, but the markets will rebound and our proximity to the need for ferrochrome will dictate that our deposit supply a chunk of the world demand. And gold. And Ni. And Cu. Think ahead as to what the share price will be at that time and today won't seem so bad.
