Ontario only got the "short end of the stick" because it was a "have province" They were by far the richest province in Canada and provinces such as Alberta and Saskatchewan were recipients of many government handouts. All that changed when the price of oil went through the roof and other commodities started to appreciate as well. Suddenly our dollar is worth more and our exports came under pressure. Ontario and the federal government will see that Ontario's north get developed- it is essential that our largest province has a full workforce and contributes to the national coffers like some of the former "have not provinces" Roads, railroads, landing strips etc will be build and we will all prosper. What a great position to be in.
