Can anyone tell me what the signifcance is if the sp is trading up all day then dips at the close and again goes to the upside during the next day. It always seems that they wish to beat it down for the close but leave it alone (somewhat) through the trading hours. With the low volume trading it seems like such a large effort for such a small amount of shares. Especially for something like a few cent spread.
