Well, that is good news, that the US economy won't have a drastic impact. However, the US is still showing as one of the top export markets for China, and I can't help but think that this will have some impact.
For most of the imports, they are items ordered from the US, rather than stuff exported for sales. By that, I mean the imports from China were ordered by US companies to sell, using off-shore manufacturing. This type of trade will continue, although it too will see some reduction as the consumption falls, and the high price of transporting goods continues to rise.
Only time will tell I guess. I was just presenting a paraphrased discussion of the alcohol-philosophers meeting last Saturday night :)
