There won't be a run on silver coins untill after a run on gold coins.... But if Americans can't buy gold, they may buy silver.. TRhe problem is the minting charge is a much higher portion of the cost of silver coins than gold... As I mentioned if you are looking for gold as a preservative of wealth, then you need to look at the Maple leaf, or Australian or SA coins.
