In this challenging opportunity with the Ministry of Natural Resources` science and information resources division, you will be responsible for providing leadership and direction to Ontario`s Far North planning initiative. You will: lead the establishment of the new Far North implementation team, comprised of cross-ministries staff; provide strategic leadership to this team; lead the development and delivery of a framework for sustainable resource development in the Far North, including the establishment of a broad-scale land-use strategy, and ensure that tools are in place to enable the development of community-based land-use planning at the local level; lead and direct Far North planning, First Nation and stakeholder relationships and issues management strategy; build the new Far North branch; coordinate the ministry`s activity.
