Wow, that story scares the ....umm, let's say "heck" outta me.
For you folks who have seen or read about how the Fed got its start in the U.S., this could be their next fait accompli. When you consider the fact that quite a few blame the Great Depression on Rockefeller himself, because he was the banker who lent so much money, and then called it ALL in one day, it really gets me thinking if this involvement of Europe and the global economy in the U.S. meltdown was the master plan all along. Of course I hope I'm wrong, but it all sounds very sinister.
That's where it's comforting to know Noront has gold, as well as a host of other metals. The fact of the matter is, there really aren't that many bona fide gold explorers/producers in Canada, so when the panic sets it to "buy" gold, that's where we might see a repeat of the 70's, and multiples of $100 SP will be commonplace. That won't mean that we'll all be giddy with joy, because many will be losing their houses, etc.
I can see where Sinclair talks about "protecting " yourself, it's not about getting rich, it's about preserving what you have and seeing the warning signs that others REFUSE to heed. I'd rather be called a flake and paranoid but have food in my belly and a roof over my head than be the most popular person in line at the soup kitchen.
Official disclaimer: Even though the phrase "multiples of $100 SP will be commonplace" occurs in this post, I am not making forecasts of Noront's future share price.
