Minor corrections to your excellent post. It was 'zinc' that Noront was looking for.
I also tend to downplay the 'rhodium' as this doesn't seem to be present in economic quantities except perhaps in the richest nickel cores. Basing this solely upon Dick Nemis initially touting the 'rhodium' and then going very quiet about it, perhaps as reassays of lower grade nickel cores didnt' reveal 'rhodium'. Could of course be wrong but if it was there you'd think Noront would have mentioned it in the 43-101.
Finding a large body, which could be deep, that is the source of E1 Nickel would be 'stop the press' news. Likely lower grade than concentration at E1 but then Voisey Bay sure isn't as rich as that either.
Noront is hard on the trail with superior understanding of the geology and the funds to drill deep. Remember Sudbury deposits go down to tremendous depths and it's next to impossible to trace these from the surface.
