OneGeology (http://www.onegeology.org/home.html) will be launched at the 33rd IGC on Aug 6. Earth Science Sector Canada (http://ess.nrcan.gc.ca/index_e.php) is also a participant.
It's a "essential tool in finding natural resources e.g. water, hydrocarbons and minerals. Natural resources are a crucial source of wealth for all nations, especially those that need to develop and build their economies."
"Go to the OneGeology website and get geological maps from across the globe — from an overview of our entire planet, to larger scale maps of the rocks of individual nations."
"Eventually, people will be able to get up close and see the rocks beneath their house."

I hope we are able to see the James Bay area resource map through the tool. However I doubt the resolution will be high enough 'coz the scale of 1:1M is too commercially sensitive. We'll see.
Looking forward to its launch.
