It would be great to see the company take this guy to court and put him out of business ( at least make his life miserable for a while) and make an example of what could happen to someone if a company decides that they have been unjustly slandered.

It may be a stronger message put out if the plaintif company was backed up by an organization such the Chambre of Mines such as the one that James Sinclair has attemted to get started. This would at least give some bashers a cause to reflect prior to publishing misleading statements.
