The buildout of China and India can best be compared to the transition within the US post depression.... This is when the real migration from farm based economy to an industrialized society ramped up.... The interstate highways were built and Americans became a city based nation of consumers.
Since then the transitional difference between rural and city dweller has broadened... thus the move of every individual has a larger impact than back in the 1940- 1950... Couple this with a 10 fold difference in populations and you have massive commodities cycle required to implement this.
The shift of wealth is in motion... and the US needs to get their crap together before we are totally diminished as a globle society.
The media in north America needs to focus on the solutions rather than the fear mongering they are perpetuating. Hard to believe that the forclosure of 1 in 171 homes in the US has had such a catostrophic impact on the economy.... Makes me think it is more a physcoligical surender than a fact based one.... perhaps perpetuated by the media which takes all optomisum out of our society.
I think they should shut the f*&6 up about the problems and focus on the next wave of technology that will build out NA as a leader in the 21st centurary rather than a victum of it's own glutony, stupidity and greed of the 20th century.
The future is what you want it to be, if you have the will and strength to shape it!
Will the US surrender or dominate in these trying times? This starts with leadership from all sources. Of late I see more focus in the media trying to bring the US to it's knees, rather than aiding in the rebirth of a global supperpower.
There is something very wrong about the short sides focus on destroying everything the US stands for. Are these individuals and funds not economic terrorists from within.
JMHO and a some observations from a concerned Canadian.
