I could not agree more Miskealp. You forgot to mention that unlike the 100s of other juniors out there, Noront is flush with cash because of the recent PP at $4 and $5 (warrants). Windfall is fully funded out of the 2006 PP and my guess is that we currently have about $40 - $45 million in cash assuming $15 - 20 million has been spent since December 2006.
Though the are drilling like crazy, Noront is still receiving both stock and $$ from the JVs and in the present market, Noront IMHO is the #1 mining stock on the TSX Venture for this very reason. They positioned themselves to be in the driver's seat long before this market turndown by raising all of the exploration cash up front, rather than a bit at a time.
We can look at the share price in two ways. The first is to be depressed by focussing on the price each day. The second is to be thankful more buying opportunities exist for not only ourselves, but our friends and family who can now get in under $3.
My average is currently $3.24 and I have not lost a single night of sleep on the downturns. When the market recovers we will be the first to shoot up given the current state of the properties and the financial position Noront is in.
My contacts in the $$ industry are talking about November for the market turnaround. Until then, let's keep encouraging the boys at Noront to keep doing what they do best (exploration) and quit harping on what they cannot control (markets).
M1.
