Here is a map of the iceroads and distances to the communities aroun Mcfaulds. If you zoom in you can see Mcfaulds lake just southeast of Webequie near the top of the map. You can see that there is already an iceroad to Martin Falls. Which means there is already a right of way cleared. From there to Mcfaulds would be the most direct route to an all season road, requiring the least amount of bridges if it were to become an all season road. However it's mostly muskeg up there and hard to work with.

The iceroad season in Northern Ontario is not nearly as long as the season in the far north. With all that expendeture you will get maybe 2 months of usefull road - sometimes less. Every year someone goes through the ice trying to get one last trip in late in the season.
