I gather from reading here and other hubs that several of you have positions in other area plays besides Noront.

Several questions...

1) From a money management POV, what is a good percentage to have in different companies?

In trying to bet a horse race, I know from years of experience what the best way is to capitalize on a horse you like (ROF) using the variety of different wagers offered based on value (different area companies), but I have no idea how to apply that knowledge to the financial portfolio.

There has got to be a good standard of what percentage of your investment in ROF to have on the nose your favorite horse (NOT), correct?

Just say, hypothetically of course (lol), of the money I have invested in the ROF:

70% Noront

10% Probe

6% Fancamp

6% Freewest

3.5% each Metalex and Bold

<1% Spider (used to be higher unfortunately, lol)

Does that look decent to you experts?

I initially bought NOT at over $6, bought again at $4.14 thinking I was stealing, and used up my last bit of dry powder I could justify at $3.73 thinking I couldn't lose. Now at approaching $3, I am tempted to take money earmarked for other things though better judgment (wife) will probably dictate otherwise.

Question #2, For those that have been involved in companies that were bought out (I have not, the closest I came was NovaGold last year, now I wish we had sold, lol)

What do you do after the company is sold? I mean, so we are all sitting around hoping for $30, $50, $100 a share, do you take your money and run or do you stick it out with the Major? Are there historical trends that indicate which way is better? I know that this is very forward thinking at least at this point in time, but I'd like to be thinking about it now so I'm not off guard when the time comes, and besides, it's more fun to think about that than the current SP.

Thanks and Best Regards,

Phil
