It is a very small percentage of Dick's holding and one would expect he just needed the money now for some personal reasons. It's something that's happened to me and while I don't like it anymore than he probably does, you do what you have to.

Timing does suck though when he's still advising retail guys like you and me to 'hold on'.

You can be certain that he didn't sell because of market conditions or Noront's future developments. Considering how long Dick has held these shares and his average cost it's hard to blame him from freeing up some ready cash. Maybe he wanted to buy some shares in FNC?
