Thanks for the information Sum4all. It seems to me that a key phrase in your conversation with Richard was "I asked how the new lab is going and he believes they are likely on target and he thinks equipment is there and being organized."

Maybe the new lab isn't yet turning out any results and it may be a little while yet before they have anything to report. If Richard says "he thinks the equipment is there and being organized", it sounds a long way from lab assays being imminent.

So rather than come up with all sorts of nefarious plans and schemes to explain the delays on DE2 assays, maybe we should just accept the simplest one that it takes a while to get a new lab up and running.

I seem to remember that QQ_Girl had posted something a few weeks ago about timing of operation for the new lab.
