The forum is quiet tonight, so I’ll give all of you some important information about the future. It’s a bit out of character for me to spend so much time on an investment blog. You see, I’m a metaphysical writer. However, I bought Noront when it was cheap and then I stumbled onto this place. I decided to stick around because I like you guys and gals.
I started studying the future in 1989. Most of my sources are channeled, that means they come from the other side. Now, most of you probably don’t think that’s possible. Well, trust me, it’s real.
How did I come to buy Noront? Well, during the 90’s all I invested in were gold mutual funds. I started buying in 1991. I kept reading over and over that the world was about to experience massive earth changes and economic tumult. It was obvious to me that gold was cheap and that I better start buying.
A few years ago I decided I had enough gold and decided to invest in something else – silver. I bought bullion (SLV), a couple of majors, and a bunch of juniors. At first I only did silver, but then I got an email from Jason Hommel about Noront. I decided what the heck (the shares where only 70 cents). Windfall and Glory Hole. I liked those words.
I’ve studied the future pretty extensively. I’ve written several books about it. Here’s what I know: The American Empire is about to end. I’ve known this for a while and it’s becoming more and more apparent every day to the rest of you. This is destiny playing itself out. There are multiple timelines but they all lead to the same outcome.
I’ve been telling people this since the early 1990s, but now the facts are presenting themselves:
The US Federal Debt is nearing $10 trillion and $90 billion must be raised every 30 days! It is only a matter of time before no one shows up at the auction.
The US financial community is sitting on over $1 trillion in losses. They are already insolvent. This means one thing: gold will go over $2500 by 2012.
US households are spending more than they are making. They have more credit card debt than ever. They are about to lose another 25% of their home equity. They are also about to lose 25% of their 401K plans. The next few years are not pretty.
America is about to go bankrupt and faces a liquidity crisis of epoch proportions.
If debt wasn’t a big enough issue, oil is even bigger. Oil production peaked in 2005 and has been on a plateau ever since (at around 85 million barrels per day). By 2010, production will be down below 85 mbd, and the world will realize that we are screwed. The energy crisis will hit like a sledgehammer. Oil will be over $250 by 2012.
If oil wasn’t big enough, then there is food. By 2010, there will food shortages throughout the world. Forget about 99 cent menus from Taco Bell. Food is going to get expensive.
Did I mention jobs? All I have to say is that they will be difficult to find.
If those issues weren’t big enough, prosperity has made us soft and dependent. Making adjustments is not going to be easy. There will be rebellion. For instance, the crime rate in Los Angeles is going to be incredible. Places like Brentwood, Bel Air, and Malibu will be abandoned by 2015 because of violence and fear.
What’s going to happen? In a word: hyper-locality. We are going to get everything local. We will revert to a simplistic lifestyle. High technology will take a hiatus and won’t return for nearly a generation. When it returns, it will be amazing. By then the world will be a loving, safe place. Something we all dream of. Thus, I’m extremely optimistic, just not about the next decade!
Now, whereas I know that gold and silver are going to do well, I can’t say the same for nickel, copper, or the other base metals. I know the stock market is headed much lower, and that a crash is coming. How long can the building boom in China, India, and the Middle East continue? My guess is at least two more years (but it could be less). So I think our investment in Noront is safe. I’m selling at $25 or $30, so we should be okay.
For those of you who think I am nuts, let me leave you with this. Texas will secede around 2011 and here are the reasons:
1) They are the only state with their own electrical grid.
2) They have a lot of oil that they can nationalize.
3) They are an independent bunch: Their slogan is “Don’t mess with Texas” and many of them would rather fly their “Lonestar” state flag than the US Flag.
4) Before they became a state, Texas was an independent country. When they joined the union, they wrote a law that allows them to revert with a simple vote of the legislature (they don’t even have to ask the people).
5) When times get tough economically, and the liberals in Washington keep making it worse, Texans are going to be very interested in talking about seceding. It will be a simple argument: "Why are we giving Washington all of our money? What are we getting back? Why don't we keep it and spend it ourselves!"
