Last winter I learned that waiting for things that happen behind closed doors can be one of the most excruciating trials in life. My nephew was born with a life threatening heart defect. Within minutes of his birth he was wisked away and placed on life support until his little body was stable enough to undergo open heart surgery.
At six days of age, it took the doctors 11 hours to rebuild his heart. Every second of those 11 hours felt like an eternity. Each time the waiting room door opened was terrifying but the longer the door stayed closed and the not knowing was even worse.
Eventually we were given the best news ever. He not only survived the surgery but the prognosis was excellent. He has since undergone two more reconstructive surgeries on his heart and is doing extremely well today.
Moral of the story: Waiting for the unknown can be very difficult and scary but every now and then life surprises us to the upside.
That is the hard kind of waiting.
Waiting for results on assay’s that had great visuals is the good kind of waiting. Waiting for a TSX listing is a good kind of waiting. I have complete confidence in NOT and management and am holding LONG and patiently.
Have a great evening!
