Well as I have previously mentioned, I have been with the Ontario Public Service for 25 years. Just received my new I.D.
I have mentioned before that I am involved with the Ontario Ministry of Health and believe you me, we want into the reserves for healthcare. Thunder Bay has the largest catchment area in Ontario north to Hudsons Bay, west to Fort Francis and Kenora and east to the Sioux. In our meetings here we are already discussing the good fortune of the province for the tremendous strike. All of a sudden roads are at the top of the list whereas just a few years ago it was on the bottom of the list.
I have been told that the Ontario Government and most departments ie Health, Mines, etc.... will all adjust budgets etc.
Consultations are already happening. Also tourism funding as well. Alberta has had a boom. Well I have a very strong feeling that we ae witness to the beginning of an Ontario boom and in a few years there will be migrations of workers to the province.
They as well as Nemis is looking at Timmins and north to the area from there. The alternative which is Pickle Lake has too much water crossings. Besides Nemis wants the ore to go to Sudbury, his home town and Timmins is the best route...Don
Good times are on the way......Don
