IT has become a mantra to state that "have been around/lurking/reading every post since I bought in in October.....just have one question.....what about something that is either not germaine at this time ...or has been answered a hundred times."

As was pointed out today these posts do not come out when the market is flat but when we are in the throws of a SP change. IMO what the MAJORITY of these posts are meant to convey is to scare off new investors to NOT.

A new investor might read the stupid post and think..... "IF he has been around so long and does not know what is happening what chance have I?" So he does not buy, and the pressure on the SH increases because no new investors are coming in.

It is clear to me that we do have at least 2 types of lurkers. Sincere ones (without wax) and insincere ones (lots of wax). As a SH I appreciate the DD given to newbies if they start out asking silly questions. Dont get me wrong I am still a newbie in terms of investing. But if they have been lurking for so long a sensible invitation is recommend.

After all, If someone were lurking outside of your house and said so on introduction to you, saying he had been watching you and your kids......Would you be suspicious?

I would recommend if any lurkers or interested SH are out there you are welcome but perhaps a PM to someone first to find out the lay of the land or get a reference may be a good idea. Lots of us longs would welcome this ....give it a try.
