My understanding is that the geology is so complex that Noront decided it was better off to just see about hauling out a pile of Gold instead of spending the money required to drill enough cores to prepare a resource statement. My understanding, and I could be wrong, is that due to the types of deposits and positioning it was going to cost a small fortune in drilling and Noront felt that money was better spent just getting down and digging the Gold out.
