"Our technical advisors assure us that this particular quality control issue does not relate to any assay results that have been previously released, and furthermore the delays in achieving acceptable results from the laboratory have no bearing on the actual results that will be forthcoming."
The first line in the above paragraph "this particular quality control issue", is an interesting line indeed. It seems to imply that, perhaps, they were testing for something not looked for before and the labs calibration was not properly set up for it. "particular quality control issue etc."
The second half is equally tastey with that "... delays in achieving acceptable results etc...actual results that will be forthcoming" It seems to offer with weight that the results forthcoming are in no way related to the negative aspects of the present assays.... are you getting my drift?
There is no question in my mind that the assays are showing very good results, ones they would expect, but as the whole process hasn't met QC specifications they cannot be offered. Read the above paragraph carefully again and I think you'll see what I'm talking about.
