With respect to the Native issues in the area of Mcfaulds. I do not believe we need to worry too much. Even though Big Trout Lake is not very far away from the ROF, the situation there is quite different than ours. Many, if not all of the companies in the Mcfaulds area have a good working relationship with the people of Webequie. The village itself is known to be one of the more positive and proactive communities in the area. We also have the advantage that all of this drilling and exploration is taking place at least 60 or so miles away from the village. In the case of Big Trout Lake, they want to put a mine right on the other side of the lake almost within sight of town and smack in the middle of where many from the village have hunting camps. And while both communities are comprised of the same people, those from Webequie will not demonstrate or protest the ring of fire exploration just because of that fact. So long as Richard and the others play nice in the sandbox, respect the local people and the community sees some benefit (financially or otherwise ie. jobs) all should continue in civil manner. The temporary vauluntary moritorium we have heard talked about while the geese migrate north would be an act of good faith on the part of NOT and others that would go a long way towards maintaining that relationship. Its a PR dance that needs to be done properly and it seems to me that RN has managed to accomplish this so far. The government has said today that there will be no moritorium on exploration, so as long as we don't muck this up we'll be ok.
Otherwise, it was interesting watching from the sidelines today while the children played. Maybe tomorrow we will get some news and everyone can start to play nice again. If not, I'll take my ball and go home. And maybe I'll get my dad to beat up your dad ;)
