Very interesting article - and gives a better overall perspective to the situation than the earlier article posted. As usual, a small but vocal group of protesters are trying to get the mining laws changed to require consultation with the aboriginals. The nice thing about Noront's situation is that Noront and many of the other companies operating in the ROF have already consulted with the Webequie tribe and are on good relations and working together. Therefore, we are in a good position in regards to the native peoples. One more positive thing for the NOT longs to feel secure about.
