Democracy

We live in a democratic society, our politicians are elected by majority vote and everyone gets one vote. Publicly traded companies are democratic in theory and are owned by the shareholders. Only each shareholder doesn't get a vote, each share is entitled to a vote. Some are saying it isn't fair that maybe a few insiders are dictating what is happening to the release of news, the New Vision, and details of major company interest. Well it just may be they have the democratic right to be more in tune given their substantial holdings. History has shown that the major shareholders of any company have the ability to control it. I think that this is partially responsible for the lull in the action while necessary manoevering is being accomplished behind the scenes. I'm not suggesting it is fair or that it is moral, just that sometimes "democracy stinks when you want your own way". Just remember, the thing that binds us all is the money and the big guys will look after yours because it is all in the same pot.

Mike
