I would like to offer the following thoughts to all who endeavour on these sites to move forward in this life whether it be financially, philosophically or both. Here we all are, most of us anonymous with some using there real names, though we still don't know who each other are, not withstanding those that have met at luncheons etc. The point is that, although no one should ever attack another verbally or otherwise, it is not a perfect world and we as human beings have much work to do in order to earn the right to be called evolved beings. We need to ask ourselves, having been maligned by other individuals, how is it that we can become so upset by the words of others when they don't know who we are, what we look like, where we come from or most anything else that is really important about us. What was really attacked was a discreet idea, separate from who we really are, yet we take such offense. If we simply let these indiscretions go we release much of the angst that seems to go on and on through comment and counter comment. No we shouldn't have to be insulted nor is it necessary, but one of the basic rules of life is that as soon as you put yourself out there for others to appraise whether it's on stage or on an anonymous forum, you are going to get flack at some point no matter how good you think your ideas are. The measure of an individual is in their ability to forgive and to overlook the momentary anomalies in anothers actions or words. If we knew half of why others do what they do, we wouldn't be so quick to judge. Our anger or negative responses are more of a measure of what we personally need to work on than what is wrong with a situation or someone else. For the evolved individual, no words offered in opposition are received as insults, but as indicators for greater understanding. For the record, I fail more than I succeed at being the kind of person I try to be, but I refuse to lose sight of what I know to be the better way.
