Of course I can agree that it would make most sense for Nemis to hold off until the end game. However the point I was trying to make is having him say 'just you hold on' means little whereas having him say 'I would not be interested in disposing of 1/2 my holdings at xx dollars' is a different kettle of fish entirely.

You'll also find that Nemis was granted most of his shares as bonus or instead of salary rather than outright purchase. He deserves them and the payout at the end of the story.
