I couldn't agree more with you about the Clinton and the Trudeau years, but I must, respectfully, disagree about the US unemployment.

The numbers that were just put out, are the tip of the iceberg. Wait six months and then see where they are. They aren't building any new Walmarts, Home Depots and Starbucks and in fact, are closing down some of them, with more layoffs to come. And you know about the housing market - no building going on there.

So, give it some time, those unemployment numbers are going to rise in the coming months. Heck, in at least three states, already there are 8-10% of the people lining up for food stamps.

And this terrible Bush gov't. continues to blow billions of dollars in Iraq, instead of worrying about their backyard. Time for the US to get back to basics and what made America - hard work in their own nation.
