Stratopod's Story & Giving thanks

I read Stratopod's story on the Off Topic Forum and was very moved.

It's about human frailty, human caring, and giving thanks.

We should all give thanks for our friends on the NOT hub: geologists, drillers, bankers, accountants, carpenters, teachers, retirees, newbies, Canadians, Americans, Belgians, the many Dutchmen, and numerous other intelligent world citizens. Those who have shared their time and their knowledge.

Sure there are those cranky old men, the drunks, the bashers, the combative, and the wasted. But they are by far and away, the minority.

We are friends who like to give - just like Stratopod. And we will be the better for it.
