Cool!  So there is pure copper encountered in mining!  We just had the first photographed jaguar in the U.S. this last week (southwest New Mexico).  Rare - but not impossible.  For those of you Canadians that are familiar with cougars, jaguars are about 100 lbs. heavier, and have a jaw bite like a pit bull, and are unique in how they kill their prey, biting them between the ears and piercing their skulls for a very quick finish.  Sorry for going down that rabbit-trail - but thought it was a good analogy for finding pure copper in mining - very rare - but fascinating to know it happens!
