In last year's (2007) Fraser Institute's survey of mining executives, Russia attractiveness as a mining investment choice ranked 55th of 65 mining jurisdiction worldwide. Russia ranked 1st in terms of having the most room to improve. Not exactly a strong endorsement as a place to make a capital investment in turbulent times.
