A "Barn Burner" next week? Maybe.
Here's what I am thinking.
The warrant exercise or expiration date from the most recent private placement as most know is Thursday April 10, 2008.
Again, as a refresher, there were 3,250,00 half warrants, allowing the holders to exercise (if chosen to do so) at a price of $5.00 (for each 1/2 warrants held).
If all of these warrants are exercised, it will add an additional $16,250,000 to NOT's coffers. Certainly a lot of money. To put this in perspective - $16.25MM would represent an additional 25-30% of what Noront presently has in their war chest. Also remember that there was a lot of discussion about how difficult it may be to raise funds in these "uncertain" economic conditions.
Where I am going with this is? I do not think that Richard will allow these monies to go unrecognized. Although Noront is well funded at present, they cannot afford to forego this opportunity of adding this additional $16.25MM to their coffers. (For all the Long, Longs here, you will remember that back in December/06, Noront raised $15MM through a PP with a whole lot more shares issued at that time)
If our share price is to wallow around the $5.00 mark, there will not be much incentive for the warrant holders to exercise. From a warrant holder perspective, if they do not exercise their warrants, they can always buy on the open market if the share price remains around $5.00. (Good for the warrant holders as they will not have to outlay all their cash on or before April 10, but bad for Noront because if the warrant holders buy on the open market, NO additional funds for Noront)
IMHO, Richard et al will not let this opportunity pass them by. In order to ensure that all warrants are exercised, it is my personal belief that Richard will ensure that it is in best interest of warrant holders to exercise.
How will he do this? Again IMHO, Noront will release news next Thursday (Richard likes to release news on Thursdays and also use the terminology "barn burner") that will propell the price to a level that ensure all warrant holders exercise.
Disclosure: For any of you out there keeping track of my predictions, you can discount this post immediately as I am more often wrong than right. Having said that, occasionally a guy has to be right and quite frankly, I am confident that Richard will not let these monies and opportunity slip away.
GLTA and Cheers,
