> Hawk Uranium Inc. (TSX VENTURE:HUI) ("Hawk") is pleased to announce that Noront Resources Ltd. (TSX VENTURE:NOT) ("Noront") has commenced the 2008 Exploration Field Programme on its 50/50 Joint Venture Property in the "Ring of Fire" McFaulds Lake Area, Northeastern Ontario.

> Noront has advised Hawk that it has completed in excess of 345 line km of helicopter borne AeroTEM and Magnetic Geophysical Surveys from the survey conducted by Aeroquest International Ltd at 100m line spacing over the Joint Venture Property, and that it has received preliminary interpretation from Scott Hogg & Associates Ltd.

> A linecutting programme projected to involve in excess of 132 line km has been initiated over a number of Priority 1 Geophysical Targets. This will be followed by a number of Ground Geophysical Surveys including HLEM - Max-Min, Ground Magnetics & VLF and Gravity Surveys to better refine the Airborne Geophysical Targets.

> Diamond drilling with one of the two recently acquired drill rigs by Noront would be anticipated to follow.

> Hawk is very pleased that Noront has selected its Joint Venture Property with Hawk to kick off the 2008 exploration season in the "Ring of Fire" McFaulds Lake Area, which has a very similar geophysical signature to Noront's "known showings" in the area.
